Which training smoke do I need?

Training Smoke XD: extreme density for the thickest, zero-visibility smoke in large spaces and full-scale exercises.
Training Smoke Fire & Rescue: high density with a long hang time, our closest match to real smoke for search and rescue and BA training.
Training Smoke Q: quick-dissipating, for small and medium rooms where smoke needs to clear fast so you can reset a drill or debrief with good visibility.

All three come in 5 litre bottles, 4 × 5 litre cases and 208 litre drums.

Training smoke machines

Training smoke fluid works in any water-based fog machine. For regular training we supply dedicated smoke generators: the Firebase Prime (1500 W, touchscreen control and quiet operation), the Firebase Highpower (2600 W, also available cased with DMX) and the Antari FT-100 (1500 W), Antari's first fog machine built for fire training. Add a realistic smell

Real fires smell, and crews notice when training smoke doesn't. Add one of our scent additives, such as Gunpowder/Smoke, Gasoline or Chainsaw Exhaust, to your training smoke fluid: half an ounce (about 15 ml) per 3.7 litres.

Kinder to your machines

Our training smoke fluids leave less residue than standard fog fluids, so heaters clog less and machines run longer between services. They're made in the USA from de-ionised water and pharmaceutical-grade ingredients.

Which training smoke fluid should I use?

Use Training Smoke XD for the densest smoke and large spaces, Fire & Rescue for long-hanging, realistic smoke in search and BA training, and Training Smoke Q where smoke must clear quickly between drills.

What machine do I need for training smoke?

Any water-based fog machine will run our training smoke fluids. For regular training we supply dedicated generators, including the Firebase Prime, Firebase Highpower and Antari FT-100. Call us for a quote.

Will training smoke set off smoke detectors?

Yes, it can trigger optical smoke detectors, so isolate or cover detectors in the training area in line with your building's procedures.
