Smoke Machines & Fog Machines

Froggy's Fog UK stocks fog and smoke machines for every size of space, from compact 400 W units for mobile DJs and home parties to 2000 W machines that fill nightclubs, stages and scare attractions. We also carry vertical jet machines for CO2-style blasts and a low mist generator for dry-ice-style floor effects. Every machine runs on water-based fog fluid, and stock orders leave our UK warehouse the same or next working day.

Which fog machine do I need?

Not sure which size you need? Call us on 01342 842 383 with the size of your space.

Pair your machine with the right fluid

All our machines run on water-based fog fluid. Use Bog Fog for the thickest fog in machines of 700 W and above, Swamp Juice or Backwood Bay for long-lasting haze, and Quik Blast or Velocity in jet machines for bursts that clear in seconds. See all fluids on our Smoke & Fog Fluid page.

Using a fog machine safely

Fog can set off optical smoke detectors, so check with your venue before use. Always use water-based fluid made for fog machines, never top up with anything else, and let the machine cool before moving it. A safety data sheet for every Froggy's Fog fluid is on our Chemical Safety page.

UK delivery

Machines in stock are dispatched from our UK warehouse the same or next working day, so there's no waiting on imports or customs. All machines are covered by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Fog machine FAQs

What's the difference between a fog machine and a smoke machine?

Nothing: they're two names for the same machine, which heats water-based fluid to make visible fog. Haze machines and low mist generators are different machines.

What size fog machine do I need?

A 400 W machine suits small rooms and mobile DJs, 900 W to 1300 W suits bars and medium stages, and 1500 W to 2000 W fills large venues and attractions. The QTFX-2000 mkII puts out about 40,000 cu ft of fog a minute.

What fluid should I use in my fog machine?

Any good water-based fog fluid. Froggy's Fog fluids suit every machine we sell: Bog Fog for dense fog in machines of 700 W and up, Swamp Juice for long-lasting fog, and Quik Blast or Velocity for fast-clearing bursts.

How long does a fog machine take to warm up?

It depends on the machine: the Eliminator VF 400 EP is ready in about 5 minutes and the VF1600 EP in about 8 minutes. Most machines then need a short reheat between long bursts.

Will a fog machine set off smoke alarms?

It can trigger optical smoke detectors, so check with your venue before use and follow its procedures for isolating detectors.

How do I make low-lying fog?

Use our QTX Low Mist Generator 1200W. It makes dry-ice-style, ground-hugging mist from standard fog fluid and water, with no CO2 or ice, and a flexible duct lets you direct it where you want it.
